Yan Ke Xue Bao is transferred to AME Publishing Company to be in charge of its publication
We are pleased to announce that the journal Yan Ke Xue Bao (YKXB) has been transferred to AME Publishing Company to be in charge of its publication since November 2015. At this point, YKXB becomes the 20th open access, peer review, international journal that AME runs.
Optical coherence tomography angiography in wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD)
Over the last decades, substantial developments in retinal imaging offered a paradigmatic change in the understanding of the pathophysiology of wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD). We have reached a point of sophistication that seemed unattainable a few years ago. A myriad of imaging devices is now available at our discretion, representing a unique opportunity to offer our patients better clinical care. In order to reduce the risk of progressive and enduring visual loss associated with wet AMD, early identification and prompt initiation of treatment is warranted.
Integrating a flipped classroom and problem-based learning into ophthalmology education

Ophthalmology is an important medical science subject, but it is given with insufficient attention in undergraduate medical education. Flipped classroom (FC) and problem-based learning (PBL) are well-known education methods that can be integrated into ophthalmology education to improve students' competence level and promote active learning.
